First Day of Internship

Today was my first day of my pediatric clinical internship.  It was awesome!  I really enjoyed myself today and can't wait to see how the rest of these 12 weeks pans out!  It is too early to tell for sure, but I might like this pediatric physical therapy stuff.  Could be the area I'm meant to be in!

Workout: Rested since I didn't sleep well last night and worked 7:40 - 6 pm today
Food:
Breakfast- 1 c fat free milk, 1/2 c bell peppers (red & green), 1/2 c spinach, 2 corn tortillas, 5 egg whites, 3 c coffee, 2 Tbsp salsa

Snack- 2 carrot protein bars

Lunch- (there was a lunch meeting at the clinic which included food!) 1 slice Little Casesar's cheese pizza, 1 slice Little Casesar's veggie pizza, 1 HEB red velvet cookie, 4 strawberries, 10 red grapes

Snack- 1 carrot protein bar

Dinner- Romaine tuna wraps, 1-8oz Dr. Pepper, 1 apple, 1 Russell Stover's chocolate piece

Totals: Cals-1676.1, Pro-103.5, Carb-239.6, Fat-33, Fiber-22.25

Week 2 LiveFit Trainer

Today started week 2 of Jamie Eason's LiveFit Trainer.  Got to sleep in a bit; last day of vacation before starting my final clinical.  I'm excited and nervous at the same time! 

Workout: Chest/Triceps- 38 minutes with 5 minute warm up
Food:
Breakfast (11 am)- Fage Greek yogurt with honey

Lunch (12:15 pm) - Shrimp tacos (recipe from Oxygen fitness new year special edition book), about 1 c salad with about 2 Tbsp Balsalmic vinaigrette

Snack (2:45 pm) - 2 Turkey Meatloaf Muffins (recipe from Jamie Eason's Live Fit trainer on bodybuilding.com)

Post workout snack (5 pm)- 1 c almond milk, 1/2 banana, 1 scoop vanilla protein powder

Dinner (7:15 pm) - 2 c salad, 1 HEB frozen chicken breast (about 6 oz), 1/4 c bell peppers, 3/4 c black beans, 1/4 avocado, 2 Tbsp olive oil and vinegar dressing

Treat (8 pm)- 1 Russell Stover's chocolate

Total calories - about 1689
Protein - 139
Carbs - 176
Fat - 47
Fiber - 27

Day 2

So today was day 2 of the 12 week challenge.  Still not eating clean yet, trying to get rid of leftovers! 
Got my workout in, still not feeling motivated to get to the gym daily, but I made it.

Workout: Back/biceps, yoga journal 21 day yoga challenge day 1 workout
Food: lasagna, bread, lettuce, ranch dressing, cake, lemonade, 2 pigs in the blanket, chicken pot stickers, tempura sushi rolls with brown rice, diet coke, double fudge brownie ice cream mini
Water: 72 oz

Game Time

So today was supposed to be the beginning of a strict eating schedule and a strict work out schedule.  I got the work out in, however... the food was another story.  This weekend my parents gave us an engagement party and we had  A LOT of leftover food.  This means that Michelle and I have lasagna and salad and dressing and bread and chips and queso and cake and brownies filling up our kitchen!  At least I got the work out in.  Since this is my last official week of "vacation," I'm going to use it to the fullest.  I will get my workouts in, but the food choices may not be top notch.  Next week's meal plan is already written and I've got my grocery list ready to go!  Just need to get rid of this "junk" food and move on! 

Workout: day one, of Jamie Eason's 12 week plan- chest/triceps, added 20 mins cardio
Food: lasagna, bread, casear salad, lemonade, cake, salad, light balsalmic vinagerette, carrots, broccoli, cucumbers, ranch veggie dip, cantaloupe, grapes, fruit dip, cake, beer, chips & queso

A new year, a new start

I have decided that this week is the last week of laziness.  I will still be on the move, so it is difficult to cook and prep meals and so on, so next monday, January 9th, I have vowed to begin Jamie Eason's 12 week program.  I spent some time tonight writing up a meal plan and a grocery list so that I am prepared and ready to go!  I will keep you all updated!
